Casting Announced For Upcoming Staged Reading Of THE WAY OUT

Current and past Broadway stars, an Emmy-winning headliner and a young movie star will appear in the reading of Diana Amsterdam's play, "The Way Out," at 5 pm February 11 at the Roundabout rehearsal space on 46th Street. Nat Wolff ("The Fault in Our Stars," "Stella's Last Weekend," "Rosy," "Ashby") will play Mick. Talisa Friedman, who created the role to critical acclaim in the 2016 Los Angeles production, will once again play Patti.

Joining the reunion from LA is Eric Nelsen, Emmy-Award winning daytime TV star. Also on board are Etai Benson (starring in "The Band's Visit") and Kyle Beltran (praised on Broadway in "The Cherry Orchard" and "In the Heights," and currently in "Blue Ridge" at the Atlantic.) The six-person cast is completed by the renowned Jennifer Damiano, Tony-nominated for her role in "Next to Normal."

"The Way Out" tells the story of four boys in a rock band and the girls who love them as they face the Vietnam Draft Lottery of 1969. Their carefree sex, drugs and rock n roll lifestyle quickly gives way to the harshness of an irrational President and the life-and-death choices each one must make.
