CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program and posted a double-digit percentage gains in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Nov. 1. The broadcast delivered 3.42 million viewers.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +18% in viewers (from 2.90m). Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION's second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 57.4% of the CBS affiliates.

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is delivering 3.45m viewers and is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program. Compared to last season, FACE THE NATION is up +8% in viewers (from 3.19m).

The Nov. 1 broadcast featured interviews with Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), newly elected Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) and House Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD). Host John Dickerson also spoke with CBS News Correspondent Allen Pizzey on the crashed Russian airliner with 200 passengers onboard. This week's panel of analysts included Jamelle Bouie of Slate; Jonathan Martin of The New York Times; Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic; and Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, author of the new memoir The Time of Our Lives: Collected Writings.
