This February, there are plenty of new things for Broadway fans to stream, from highly anticipated originals to returning favorites.

On February 4, the curtains will rise on The Muppet Show, which will make its long-awaited return to our screens with a new special on Disney+. After a 45-year hiatus, Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppet gang have returned to the original Muppet Theatre to put on a brand-new show, featuring special guest Sabrina Carpenter.

Also arriving this month is a new outing from television producer Ryan Murphy, who brings to life the dramatic relationship of the infamous American couple, John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. Sterophonic's Sarah Pidgeon stars as Bessette, with an ensemble that also includes Naomi Watts, Grace Gummer, and Erich Bergen.

The month will come to a close with the streaming premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman. Bill Condon directs the 2025 film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical with Jennifer Lopez starring as Hollywood icon Ingrid Luna and songs from Broadway songwriting team John Kander and Fred Ebb.

Other streaming highlights include the adult animated film Boys Go to Jupiter, featuring the voice of Oh, Mary!'s Cole Escola, a Keke Palmer-led reimagining of the 80s comedy, The ‘Burbs, and the conclusion of Season 4 of Bridgerton.

Theatre TV & Film

Grease (February 1, Paramount+)

Directed by Randal Kleiser and based on Jim Jacobs' and Warren Casey's musical of the same name, Grease was released in 1978 by Paramount Pictures to tremendous critical and popular acclaim. The film was nominated for five Golden Globes and an Oscar, and was the winner of the People's Choice Award for Best Musical. Grease stars John TravoltaOlivia Newton-JohnStockard Channing and Jeff Conaway.

The Muppet Show (February 4, Disney+)

Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the beloved Muppet gang are all back for the brand-new special event. Music, comedy, and a whole lot of chaos are bound to ensue when The Muppets once again take the stage of the original Muppet Theatre with special guest Sabrina Carpenter.

Boys Go to Jupiter (February 6, HBO Max)

A teenager in suburban Florida desperately hustles to make $5,000 in this dreamy and surreal animated coming-of-age story. Among the voice cast is Tony Award winner Cole Escola, creator of Broadway hit Oh, Mary!, along with Julio Torres (off-Broadway's Color Theories), Eva Victor, Jack Corbett, Tavi Gevinson, Grace Kuhlenschmidt, Elsie Fisher, J.R. Phillips, Demi Adejuyigbe, Sarah Sherman, Chris Fleming, and many more.

The ‘Burbs (February 8, Peacock)

Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light. Led by Broadway alum Keke Palmer (Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella) and Jack Whitehall, the ensemble features Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar.

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette (February 12, Hulu)

The new Ryan Murphy series explores the high-profile courtship and marriage of the infamous American couple, John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. The cast is led by Paul Anthony Kelly as Kennedy, with Tony Award-nominated performer Sarah Pidgeon (Sterophonic) as Carolyn Bessette. Broadway alums Erich Bergen (Boop!) and Michael Nathanson (Good Night, and Good Luck) also appear.

Eternity (February 13, Apple TV)

In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and her first love (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive. The movie also stars Callum Turner, John Early, and Broadway's Olga Merediz, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Betty Buckley.

Bridgerton (Season 4 – Part 2) (February 26, Netflix)

The new season follows Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, who has no interest in settling down. That is, until Violet’s masquerade ball, when he becomes awestruck by a masked, mysterious Lady in Silver. With the reluctant help of his stern Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Benedict sets out in society to uncover the young lady’s identity. But in fact, his heart’s desire is not in society at all — she is a resourceful maid called Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), working for the formidable Lady of the house, Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). Julie Andrews returns for the new season, lending her voice to narrator Lady Whistledown.

Kiss of the Spider Woman (February 27, Hulu)

Jennifer Lopez stars in Bill Condon’s adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical from Terrence McNally and composer/lyricist team John Kander and Fred Ebb. The story follows Valentín (Diego Luna), a political prisoner, who shares a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna (Lopez).

Sh-Boom! Life Could Be A Dream Original Cast Recording (February 6)

The recording of Sh-Boom! Life Could Be A Dream, from The Marvelous Wonderettes creator Roger Beans, features the world premiere cast of the musical, including Doug Carpenter, Ryan Castellino, Jim Holdridge, Daniel Tatar, and Jessica Keenan Wynn. The jukebox musical includes classic songs such as "Stay (Just a Little Bit Longer)," "Runaround Sue," "The Great Pretender," "Tears On My Pillow," the title song, and more. The original production ran at Hollywood's Hudson Theatre in 2009.

All the World's a Stage: A Musical Original Cast Recording (February 20)

Adam Gwon's All the World's a Stage will debut its official cast recording this month, with Andrea Grody serving as music director with two-time Tony Award winner Michael Starobin providing orchestrations. The recording preserves the recent production from Keen Company and features performances by Elizabeth Stanley, Matt Rodin, Eliza Pagelle, and Jon-Michael Reese. Listen to the first single, “Pieces, Together” featuring Matt Rodin, below.

Julie Benko: Euphonic Gumbo (February 20)

The new album sees the Funny Girl star and her seven-piece band explore the musical and cultural histories of New Orleans. The project brings to life the spirit of the annual Mardi Gras concerts at Birdland, with parades, street bands, and more. The album's title comes from Benko's original play Down the Line, set in Storyville, New Orleans' former red-light district. It is musically directed by her pianist-arranger spouse, Jason Yeager.
