Oprah sat down with living legend Barbra Streisand on her show, today, Thursday, September 24, 2009! Streisand performed two songs, 'Make Someone Happy' and 'Evergreen'. Unfortunately the second song was cut due to time constraints, however the folks at BarbraStreisand.com announced that you can still watch Barbra perform 'Evergreen' from the taping.

Barbra's album Love Is the Answer will be available in stores September 29. In what will be a once-in-a lifetime thrill for a hundred of her luckiest fans, Barbra Streisand will celebrate the release of Love Is The Answer---her new album of jazz standards and classics--- by singing a selection of these songs at New York's legendary Village Vanguard on Saturday, September 26, where she last performed in 1961 as the opening act for Miles Davis.

The Oprah Winfrey show is now entering its 20th year of production as a syndicated show.

It is currently the longest-running daytime television talk show in the United States, having run nationally since September 8, 1986, for over 22 seasons and 3,724 episodes November 21, 2008. The show is renewed through 2011

Oprah Winfrey is the lead producer on the musical The Color Purple, based on the movie in which she played Sofia, currently touring the country. The Broadway production played over 900 performances and received 11 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
