A QUIET PLACE Sequel Gets Release Date

Paramount announced a release date for the sequel to A Quiet Place, which is set to open May 15, 2020, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

John Krasinski, who directed the original, will be writing the sequel. There is no deal in place yet, but it's expected that Krasinski will return to direct the sequel as well.

Earlier this year, A Quiet Place turned into a box-office hit, grossing $332.6 million at the global box office to become one of the most successful original films in recent times.

Krasinski starred in the original opposite his wife, Emily Blunt.

A Quiet Place, a horror thriller, follows a family who must navigate their lives in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Blunt) and Lee (Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back.
