ALRIGHT, JUNIOR

BIO:
Alright, Junior. is a raw genuine rock trio who has a desire to communicate their collective internal focus. Playing over 350 shows in the past 6 years, covering a vast amount of area in the USA, Alright, Junior. is keen on constantly being on the go, as this band’s live show is what defines them. This musical endeavor has led Alright, Junior. to share the stage with Incubus, Cake, Angels & Airwaves, Civil Twilight, Flogging Molly, Circa Survive, Maps & Atlases, Sponge, Our Lady Peace, 10 Years, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Local H, Young the Giant, and more! Twas 2006, when the members of Alright, Junior. formed in the city of Philadelphia, Pa, their debut album, “Eudaemonic”, (distributed by ADA Warner Music Group – recorded with Kevin Wesley Williams and mastered by UE Nastasi), was released right away putting the project on the map. The material was soon being spread along by radio stations in the area and beyond, including the songs, “Up In Flames” and “Sinner of the State”. It was at this time that the band then received word that their music was put on regular rotation by a station in Milan, Italy and was being pushed through certain areas in Europe and the UK. By 2008, AJ had already found themselves sharing the stage with Sponge, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Joe Coffee (Rev. Paul Bearer of Sheer Terror), and McRad. In 2009, the group began working with Big Blue Meenie Recording Studios (Rage Against The Machine, INXS, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Lifetime) in Jersey City, NJ, spearheaded by mastermind, Tim “Rumblefish” Gilles. Alan Douches from West West Side Music (Mastadon, Dillinger Escape Plan, Alkaline Trio, Ben Folds Five, Hot Water Music) in New Windsor, NY, applied his mastering expertise. Finishing their sophomore recording, a five (5) song EP named, “Our Temporary Everything”, their single, “Fish vs. Ambulance” achieved regular radio airplay, along with “Minds Built Like Rome”, drawing attention to a larger audience. This also brought tv appearance opportunities involving both ABC and NBC, which sent their newer videos to grow in views. In 2011, the band went back to Big Blue Meenie and West West Side to expand with a third recording, entitled, “Scratching at the Ceiling”, which was released in April of that year. Shortly after, the track, “Burn” continued the band’s momentum, having played it live in studio during their 2nd appearance at Radio 104.5 WRFF. Alright, Junior. believes in genuine passion and hard work to achieve the goals in sight; 2011 proved a big year for AJ opening for bands such as Young the Giant, Circa Survive, Maps & Atlases, Sleeper Agent, Violent Soho, and Mondo Generator (Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age). March 2012 came and the band went into Studio 4 (John Lennon, Nine Inch Nails, Urge Overkill, Circa Survive) in Philadelphia, recording with good friend Steven LaFashia, setting up to unveil a new single in May entitled, “How You’ve Changed Me”, along side a new music video. UE Nastasi (Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, Panic! At the Disco), at Sterling Sound in NYC, is mastering this song. In April/May of 2012, AJ shared the stage with Romans (ex Head Automatica, We Are The Fury, Jaguar Love), Gabriel the Marine, and NGHBRS. Philadelphia spoke very loudly voting Alright, Junior. to open for Incubus, Cake, Angels & Airwaves, Civil Twilight, and Flogging Molly for Radio 104.5?s 5th Birthday party on May 13, 2012. In June the band was gladly asked to share the stage with Empires, The Lighthouse and The Whaler, and Team Spirit (ex Passion Pit). August turned the corner and Alright, Junior. was asked to open for Canada’s darlings, Our Lady Peace. As October came into sight, the band was then asked to open for 10 Years and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. To close out a big year, AJ was then asked to open for the almighty Chicago duo, Local H in December. Alright, Junior. is now writing new music for a full length album set to start recording with engineer/producer Bogdan Hernik in March of 2013.
