Chicago-based Young Man tours the U.S. and Canada this summer in support of the group's latest record Vol. 1, out now via Frenchkiss Records; please see below for a list of dates. The headlining tour comes on the heels of successful runs opening for the Walkmen, the Cold War Kids, Suckers, Givers, Fanfarlo, Oberhofer and Grouplove over the past year and a half.
Vol. 1 has received critical praise with Esquire hailing frontman Colin Caulfield as a "dorm-room-pop whiz kid" while Filter notes that "Caulfield continues to showcase some seriously well-crafted shifts between proggy meandering movements and pop hooks." Rolling Stone recently premiered the video for the track "Fate" at http://bit.ly/JYnmwL. Produced by John McEntire (Broken Social Scene, Tortoise, Stereolab, The Sea & Cake), the new record is the second part of an album trilogy begun with 2011's Ideas of Distance. Please see below for the complete Vol. 1 track list.
Young Man recently returned from a successful trip to SXSW, including performances at the Frenchkiss Records Showcase and the Hype Machine's Hype Hotel. The group is fronted by singer-songwriter and producer Colin Caulfield and includes Emmett Conway, Joe Bailey, Jeff Graupner and Darien Williams.
