The London-based William Phillips (Tourist) was nominated for Song of The Year GRAMMY for co-writing Sam Smith's "Stay With Me", together with James Napier and Sam Smith.

Late last year, FADER premiered MJ Cole's "Classic sounding" remix of the Tourist track "Illuminate" featuring Years & Years' vocalist Olly Alexander. Check it out below!

Tourist earlier released his Patterns EP last year to critical acclaim and NPR recorded his live set at Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit HERE. The track "Can't Keep Up" ft Will Heard has been to the top of the Hype Machine charts more than once. His rising reputation as an electronic dance artist is also highlighted by remixes for Haim, Chvrches, London Grammar etc.

Even before releasing a debut album, he will already play live at Coachella and Wild Life (Disclosure's first large scale festival) this Spring.

Tourist video "Illuminate" featuring Years & Years (Dir by Nicolas Ménard) below and the series of GIFs on Tumblr showcasing Nicolas' beautiful hand drawn illustrations. Inspired by Japanese graphic artists such as Yuichi Yokoyama and retro games X and 3D World Runner, this fully animated video is set in several surreal worlds where communication is lost and confused heart-break takes over. Tackling themes of love, misunderstanding and the hope of a resolution after a breakup, we watch as our protagonist opens letter after letter, written in a language he cannot understand.
