CapLive and the historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in downtown York welcome back CapLive alum Todd Snider to the Capitol Theatre on Monday, Jan. 6 at 8:00 p.m. A CapLive favorite, Todd Snider's performance, sponsored by York Traditions Bank, is the newest addition to CapLive's eclectic 2013-14 season lineup of nationally-known acts and up-and-coming performers. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 10:00 a.m.

Todd Snider is performing disconcerting, cracked and wholly original songs from his new album, Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables. This 12thalbum is anything but a nice, folk/Americana troubadour album. Having earned the attention, friendship and fandom of American musical giants like Kris Kristofferson and John Prine, Todd Snider stays at least 100 miles away from anything close to boring. Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables is considered 'roaringly' funny and is a tribute to Snider's unique sensibilities, and to his standing as what Rolling Stone magazine calls "America's sharpest musical storyteller."

Through finding different song forms, different inspirations, and different means of expression, Snider's goal for his latest album, Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables, was to "make a mess," which he achieved by featuring a handful of accomplished musicians. With Snider playing guitar and harmonica and co-producer Eric McConnell on bass, together they gathered a core band of percussionist Paul Griffith, violinist and vocalist Amanda Shires, keyboard player Chad Staehly, guest guitarist Jason Isbell, and harmony vocalist Mick Utley.

Tickets are $22.00 and go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online atwww.StrandCapitol.org, by calling the Strand-Capitol box office at 717-846-1111, or at the door the evening of the show.
