The New York Coffee Festival Announces the 2018 NYC Coffee Music Project

The Coffee Music Project will return to New York City for a fourth year this October. Applications are now open and will close on September 14th, 2018. Musicians can now apply here.

The Coffee Music Project is the world's most influential music competition, showcasing the creativity and talents of emerging musicians whilst raising money for coffee growing communities all over the world.

The Coffee Music Project celebrates diverse, authentic musical talent, providing a platform for self- made artists who believe they have what it takes to write and perform a winning song. Unlike reality TV talent competitions, the judging panel is made up of a broad spectrum of music industry leaders from top song writers to sync agents with prizes designed to help you kick start your career. 100% of the profits from the live shows will go directly to charity

"This year's Coffee Music Project in New York is set to be the best ever. Following on from the successes in London, and the impending launch in Los Angeles, the entire program is gaining a lot of industry momentum. This provides an incredible platform for immensely talented, unsigned music artists to gain the high-profile exposure they need to launch their careers - and all for a great cause." -Jeffrey Young, Founder of The Coffee Music Project.

THE COMPETITION

Musicians at all levels can now apply online by submitting two YouTube video performances. The top 36 contestants will be selected to perform at the qualifying rounds, which will take place on October 7th-9th in the heart of the East Village at Pianos NYC. From the qualifying rounds, 9 contestants will be selected to perform at this year's New York Coffee Festival on October 13th and 14th, before competing in the finals at The Mercury Lounge, on October 16th.

The winner of the competition will receive a number of prizes designed to kickstart their career in music. This includes $1,500 cash, $1,000 towards a trip to Los Angeles to perform at the LA Coffee Festival, a free studio recording session and more.

All nine finalists will also receive guaranteed slots to perform at The New York Coffee Festival, along with having one song featured on The Coffee Music Project 2018 album.
