USAToday reports that Joe Jonas-led rock band DNCE and Rod Stewart are teaming up for a re-imagined version of Stewart's 1978 hit, 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy'. DNCE & Steward will perform the new track together for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards remotely via live video from Las Vegas.

The news of the song reboot comes at the same time as Stewart's "newly minted partnership" with Republic Records, he tweeted with a promo of the song Wednesday - this is also DNCE's label.

Rod Stewart is a British rock singer and songwriter. Born and raised in London, Stewart is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. He has had six consecutive number one albums in the UK and his tally of 62 UK hit singles includes 31 that reached the top ten, six of which gained the #1 position. Stewart has had 16 top ten singles in the US, with four reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He was knighted in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to music and charity.

DNCE is an American dance-rock band. The group consists of members Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle, and JinJoo Lee. The group signed with Republic Records, who released their debut single, "Cake by the Ocean", in September 2015. The song reached the top 10 in several charts, including on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 9. Their debut extended play, Swaay, was released the same year. They also were nominated for Favorite New Artist for the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards and Best Song to Lip Sync and Best Anthem for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards.
