NAATIONS Announce Highly Anticipated Debut Album 'Teardrop'

LA-based Australian duo NAATIONS have unveiled their stunning debut EP, Teardrop. The first half of a two-part EP series, Teardrop is a 6-track production filled with the pair's freshest tracks, including their brand-new collaboration 'Long Time' with iLoveMakkonen.

The EP's 'teardrop' and 'star' concept represents 'the light and the dark' - the two sides of their inspiration during the creative process. Nat and Nicky travelled around the world to create the EP, teaming up with a wealth of widely acclaimed producers including London producer Alex Metric, who accompanied credits on previous single, 'Air & Water'. The track received strong support from BBC Radio 1's Mistajam, who played the song in his Saturday Dance Anthems show. Not stopping there, 'Air & Water' was also included in Kiss Fresh's playlist.

Teardrop serves as an aural embodiment of NAATIONS' high-tempo production prowess. Tracks like'Keep It Real' and 'History' - which were made with Scissor Sisters' Baby Daddy in his New York studio - lead with Nat's rich, soulful vocals and Nicky's eclectic production style. A release packed with thumping bass-lines and bold percussive elements, Teardrop also includes new tracks 'Only Hurting Yourself', and 'MDMA' - produced with longtime friend and collaborator, Australian producer Styalz Fuego.

Responsible for the huge Ibiza 2017 anthem 'Real Life' (32 million Spotify streams) with Gorgon City & Duke Dumont, NAATIONS followed up the success of the track with their own single 'Want Me More', which propelled itself into the Top 20 UK Shazam Dance Chart following a wave of huge support fromBBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra, with plays from Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Mistajam.

Over the course of 2018, the Australian duo continue to grow in stature, having performed at notable music venues including Output in New York as well as Brixton Academy, Camden Assembly andXOYO in London. Additionally, the duo recently supported fellow Australian act Peking Duk on their European Tour.

With NAATIONS due to perform across Ibiza and San Diego's CRSSD Festival later this month, the pair will be supporting British singer Anne-Marie on the Australian leg of her tour in October. Nat co-wroteAnne-Marie's platinum-certified Marshmello collaboration 'FRIENDS', which has scored over half a billion Spotify streams.

Teardrop is a clever introduction into the world of NAATIONS, with the second half of the EP - Star - coming out soon. The release cements the duo's reputation as one of dance music's fastest rising acts and is set to feed into the excitement already surrounding the duo.
