Singer Morrissey has been forced to cancel the final six cities of his American tour due to "misappropriation of funds by the tour's management for the American tour." Cleveland's December 9 concert at Playhouse Square is among the six stops cancelled. (The Dec. 9 show had already been a make-good for his Nov. 25th show that Morrissey had to cancel due to illness.)

Morrissey has been very vocal about the circumstances cancelling his tour. In his blog he posted:

"The band, the crew and I are heartbroken to hear that the final six shows of our triumphant tour will be 'pulled down'. The shock and sadness that we all feel - for ourselves, and for our devoted friends in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, has left us in unrecoverable despair.
