Grammy Award winner Melissa Etheridge will perform at the Capitol Center for the Arts on Sunday, June 8, at 7:30pm as part of a limited run of live dates in an intimate theatre setting

"I enjoy doing the solo shows not only to get ready for a new album, I also love to dive into my catalogue of songs and bring a new freshness to my older material," explains Melissa Etheridge. "It is such an intimate experience with the audience and it is truly one of my favorite ways to perform."

Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocal, Etheridge has remained one of America's favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades. She stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. Hitting her artistic and commercial stride, Melissa's success has landed her multiple Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and the Songwriter of the Year honor at the ASCAP Pop Awards in 1996.

Tickets for this rare opportunity to see the rock icon perform in a stripped-down atmosphere, rotating between electric and acoustic guitar, piano, and harmonica are available at the box office, located at 44 South Main Street, Concord NH, via phone at 603-225-1111 and online at ccanh.com. Tickets: $89.50 Gold Circle; $79.50 Orchestra/Mezzanine/Balcony; $39.50 Rear Balcony. Presented in association with Kirschner Concerts and 9.25 The River.
