Kenny White to Perform at Cafe Carlyle, 2/19-3/12

By:

Singer-songwriter and pianist Kenny White, hailed by the New York Times as "about as enlivening as anything heard on the pop front this year," along with being praised by American Songwriter, Relix and San Francisco Chronicle, among others, will perform a series of concerts at New York's legendary Café Carlyle February 19 & 26 and March 5 & 12.

The Café Carlyle performances come on the heels of White's new album Comfort in the Static, which was released to critical praise last year on Judy Collins' Wildflower Records. The 11-track album features an array of studio collaborators including Catherine Russell, Duke Levine, Shawn Pelton and Marty Ballou.

Long before his solo recordings made an impact on tastemakers and fans, White distinguished himself in writing and producing for television, radio and film. He has worked with a seemingly endless list of artists through his career, including Gladys Knight, Linda Ronstadt, Dwight Yoakam, Ricky Skaggs and Aaron Neville. His work has also included production credits on major records for Peter Wolf, Marc Cohn and Shawn Colvin. Following his debut recording in 2002, Judy Collins discovered his follow-up release and signEd White to her label. That album, Symphony in 16 Bars, came out in 2005.
