?Joe's Pub at The Public joins Creative Capital's15th anniversary celebration with a slate of performances by some of New York's most adventurous and exciting artists - Lisa Kron, Danny Hoch, Kalup Linzy, Jomama Jones & Samora Pinderhughes, and Champagne Jerry. Running Monday - Wednesday, November 24-26, the program of shows exemplifies the shared goal of both organizations to support innovative artists making inter-disciplinary work. Tickets ($15-20) are now available online, by phone (212-967-7555) and in person at The Public's Box Office (425 Lafayette, NYC).

Creative Capital is celebrating this anniversary milestone with artist events, community gatherings and special programs across the country, including the Joe's Pub program spotlighting their New York artists. "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Joe's Pub on this great series featuring Creative Capital's performing arts awardees," said Ruby Lerner, Founding Executive Director, Creative Capital. "All of us at Creative Capital are huge fans of Joe's Pub, and it's wonderful to celebrate our shared commitment to supporting adventurous artists over the past 15 years."

"As we conclude our own yearlong 15th anniversary celebration, Joe's is honored to help Creative Capital celebrate theirs. This series is driven by our collective mission to redefine performing arts and give artists the stage they deserve," said Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub at The Public.

Monday, November 24 at 9:30PM - Joe's Pub mainstay Champagne Jerry, also known as Neal Medlyn, is a rapper and performance artist who, along with his producer, Max Tannone, and his onstage entourage, the Champagne Club, aim to transform the world each time they perform. Medlyn received the Creative Capital award in 2013 for King, a performance art project centered on Michael Jackson.

Tuesday, November 25 at 7:00PM - Jomama Jones and Samora Pinderhughes are FOUND for one night only at Joe's Pub. Jomama Jones traces the song lines for a rite of reconnection crafted with the visionary Samora Pinderhughes. Their first collaboration, the pair will interpret a series of songs associated with Josephine Baker, Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln, Labelle, and Diana Ross, among others, and reveal a new composition. Jomama Jones was funded in Creative Capital's first award round in 2000.

Tuesday & Wednesday, November 25 & 26 at 9:30PM - Celebrating the release of his forthcoming album Art Jobs and Lullabies (2015), Kalup Linzy will perform live, with a six-piece band, selected material from the project, which is also the visual sequel to his 2013 release Romantic Loner (Linzy's Creative Capital-supported project, funded in 2008). The evening will also include music video interludes, skits and material from his previous albums Sweetberry Sonnet (2008), Sampled and LeftOva (2009), and Romantic Loner. The evening will also feature special guests.

Wednesday, November 26 at 7:30PM - Danny Hoch and Lisa Kron share the bill on this night, with each writer presenting excerpts of new work. Hoch, a 2006 Creative Capital awardee, shares parts of TAKING OVER, his heartbreakingly funny and devastating tour-de-force look at gentrification in New York City. The New York Times describes it as "... pulsing, seamless studies of character clashing with context, of people learning to sink or swim in suddenly unfamiliar waters."

Kron is a critically acclaimed playwright (Well, 2.5 Minute Ride, In The Wake, The Ver**zon Play, and Fun Home) and performer (The Foundry Theatre's Good Person of Szechuan, Richard Move's Martha @... The 1963 Interview). She received the Creative Capital award in 2000 for Well, which ran at the Public Theater in 2004 and was listed among the year's best plays by The New York Times. Kron is a proud founding member of the OBIE- and Bessie-Award-winning collaborative theater company The Five Lesbian Brothers.
