Hop Along U.S. New Year's Eve Shows, Fall European Tour w/ The Decemberists

Hop Along's new album Bark Your Head Off, Dog was released earlier this year via Saddle Creek, making a notable debut at #1 on Alternative New Artist Albums, #2 on Top New Artist Albums and breaking into the top 50 ofBillboard's Top 200. Today, the band announced a run of New Year's Eve shows in Boston, MA and Asbury Park, NJ to close out 2018 with a bang. Special guests to be announced. Tickets on-sale this Fri, Sept 21 at 10 am ET.

Hop Along recently wrapped up a massive North American headlining tour with a final stop at Pitchfork OctFest in NYC. They will bring their dynamic, powerhouse live show to stages across Europe on tour with The Decemberists this fall, also playing Pitchfork Avant-Garde in Paris and recently announced headlining shows in London, Barcelona and Madrid, on sale now. Full list of tour dates below and here.

Last month, the band shared the charming, playful video for Bark Your Head Off, Dog track "Somewhere a Judge," which invites viewers behind the scenes on the road, in the studio and documents the new Hop Along mural - which has just gone up on the Studebaker building in Philadelphia - done by the artist Noségo. Woven together by Derrick Belcham, the video debuted with an in-depth Rolling Stone feature and is available to post/share HERE.

Upon album release, Hop Along's status was reaffirmed with exuberant notices in NPR, Pitchfork, NPR, Esquire, Vulture, VICE's Noisey, Stereogum and more. Lead single "How Simple" has found a home on stations including Sirius XMU, Sirius The Loft, WFUV, KCRW, KEXP and The Current.

Self-produced and recorded at The Headroom in Philadelphia by Reinhart and Kyle Pulley, the formidable 9-song collection is the band's strongest and most cohesive album to date. Crafted by Frances Quinlan (songwriter, lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist), Tyler Long (bass), Joe Reinhart (guitar), and Mark Quinlan (drums), the album considers what it's like to cast off longheld and misguided perceptions, yet without the assurance of knowing what new ones will replace them.
