Erin Costello Debuts DOWN BELOW, THE STATUS QUO and Embarks On US Tour With Shannon McNally

Erin Costelo is an artist who is mining the truth-through writing, arranging, producing and masterful live performance. With a commanding voice, she has the ability to successfully float between genres and stages, her unwavering vision continuously offering the most authentic voice to a feeling, idea or story.

Her latest, self-produced album, DOWN BELOW, THE STATUS QUO, was nominated for a total of 12 awards in her home country of Canada, winning Producer of the Year and Solo Recording of the Year. It is a magical, moonlight-soaked reverie, filled with drama and intensity, in one moment a defiant cry and in the next a desperate whisper. It has been described as "embodying the spirit of Nina Simone" and "conjuring the ghost of Donny Hathaway." Experience this firsthand by watching Erin's official video for "Fighter" below:

With songs that sound like they were written by your heroes, she's had the opportunity to open for heroes like Mavis Staples, Dr. John, and Bettye Lavette and has recently performed with Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band.

DOWN BELOW, THE STATUS QUO will be released on March 9th, 2018 on Compass Records (US ONLY). The US co-headlining tour with Shannon McNally kicks off in Lexington, KY on March 21, and ends in Nashville, TN on March 31st. The tour stops in major US cities in seven states, with shows in Washington, DC; Roanoke, VA; Charlotte, NC and more.
