Rising Nashville recording artist Kaitlyn Baker will celebrate the release of her debut single "Burn" when she opens for multi-award-winning country singer Travis Tritt in Albany, Georgia, on Friday, July 18. The concert will be a fundraiser for the Darton State College Foundation, which awards scholarships to deserving students.

Baker, who is 19, has been performing professionally since she was a young girl. She has previously opened for other well-known artists at fairs and festivals near her hometown of Pound, Virginia, but she is especially excited about the upcoming show with Tritt.

"I've been listening to Travis Tritt since I was a baby," Baker said. "I love his songs, and he's such a great musician. Another reason I'm drawn to him is because I feel like he's genuine. He just kind of remains who he is."

Seven of Tritt's albums are certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America, including "It's All About to Change," which achieved triple-platinum status. His most recent album, "The Calm After..." garnered rave reviews when it was released in 2013. Tritt has received two GRAMMY Awards (for "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'" and "Same Old Train") and four awards from the Country Music Association. He has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992.

Baker, who previously released three self-produced albums, recently signed with Silvercreek Records in Nashville, and will soon release an album through Sony/RED. "Burn," her first single being released to radio, is about a woman who had had enough of her husband's cheating.

"We're real excited to have Travis Tritt and Kaitlyn Baker performing," said Glenn Tennyson, chairman of the Darton College Foundation. "Travis is a living legend and Kaitlyn is an upcoming superstar. She's got the voice, the looks and the style. This is going to be a fantastic concert."

Travis Tritt will perform with opening act Kaitlyn Baker at Cavalier Arena, Darton State College, 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, Georgia 31707, on Friday, July 18. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Baker will go on at 9:00 p.m. Tritt will go on at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $25-$45 in advance (an additional $10 the day of the show) and can be purchased at http://www.ticketalternative.com/Events/27969.aspx.
