After a successful launch in 2013, Communion, the acclaimed live music promotions team and taste-making independent label, continues to garner critical praise for their monthly club night series:

The February installment will feature JOHNNYSWIM, Brave Baby, OH NO FIASCO, and additional support from local artists. Presale tickets are available now at http://www.communionmusic.com. Student and affiliated radio patron discounts included.

JOHNNYSWIM (Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano-Ramirez) joins the Communion club nights as a headliner for the first time. The husband and wife team met in Nashville in 2006 and started collaborating musically after discovering their similar influences of folk, soul, and rock. Since then, they've relocated to Los Angeles, released two critically lauded EPs and were chosen as VH1's inaugural "You Oughta Know +" artist. The two have performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and "Today Show" and have toured extensively including stops at SXSW, Spoleto Festival, Bonnaroo and a support slot for Emeli Sandé. Their debut LP Diamonds will be released April 29 on Big Picnic Records

Beginning in the new year, Communion joined in partnership with Global Citizen, an innovative online platform and mobile application run by The Global Poverty Project. To show its commitment to affecting change on a local, grassroots level, Communion will provide ten percent of the tickets to each of its nine monthly club nights to Global Citizen to reward users.

The Communion club night series brings artists to nine cities across the country, returning each month with a unique lineup showcasing emerging and established talent alongside local bands in each city. The U.S. nights are modeled on the legendary Communion night in Notting Hill, London founded in 2006 by Ben Lovett, Kevin Jones and Ian Grimble. Following the underground success achieved in London, the club night moved first to Brighton and then gradually to 15 cities in the U.K. and U.S. with a further outpost in Melbourne, Australia. Communion Records, Communion Presents and, most recently, Communion Publishing emerged from bonds formed at these early club nights.

Artists to emerge from the Communion fold include Michael Kiwanuka, Daughter, Gotye and Ben Howard.
