By:

Following the success of their latest album 22, A Million, Indie folk band Bon Iver is planning to embark on an exciting series of festival dates, a European tour and a North American tour. Bon Iver will perform at DPAC on November 13, 2017.

Tickets are on sale Friday August 25 at 10:00am:

  • Online at DPACnc.com

The band's founder, Justin Vernon, had an explosive debut when forming the band. After retreating to his father's cabin in Wisconsin, Justin began to write prolifically and created his celebrated 9-track debut For Emma, Forever Ago in the span of three months. Several releases later, Bon Iver has enjoyed tremendous amounts of success and won Grammy awards for their versatile repertoire.

Bon Iver's new album (the first in five years) 22, A Million has received ecstatic praise as Vernon delves into the realm of "indie folktronica" first glimpsed at in his 2009 EP Blood Bank. An innovative exploration into his own songwriting, Vernon challenges how he composes and what allows him to best convey a mood. From drastic sweeps of autotune to soft orchestral embellishments, Pitchfork gives the album a 9.0/10. This record was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016 for the Best Alternative Music Album.

Bon Iver is known to constantly and consistently push the boundaries of their sound, with a range of earthy folk songs, to lush orchestrations, to electronic fragments of a song. Don't miss this dynamic band in an intimate live show at DPAC November 13.
