Review: Rob Thomas and COUNTING CROWS Hit Mohegan Sun
On Saturday night, Rob Thomas and Counting Crows performed at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, entertaining a lively audience of all ages.
The German-born singer/songwriter, Rob Thomas wowed the stage with his energetic band, playing a mix of old and new tunes, ranging from his solo career down to his Matchbox Twenty days.
The crowd chimed in with upbeat songs like "Lonely No More," and "This is How A Heart Breaks," while phones came out - in place of lighters - and illuminated the arena during the heart-felt slow number, "3AM."
Thomas also got intimate, strumming the guitar while performing "Pieces" from his latest album, The Great Unknown.
Later, the rock band, Counting Crows hit the stage, combining songs from their mega-hit album August and Everything After and their latest, Somewhere Under Wonderland
The crowd wasn't disappointed with classic 90s jams, including "Round Here" and "Mr. Jones," sung by the always pleasing, Adam Duritz.
