BWW's Kevin Pollack recently chatted with London's soul man Seal about his newest album "7" and about his touring life. Seal has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and is known for his international hits, including "Kiss from a Rose", which appeared on the soundtrack to the 1995 film Batman Forever. He was a coach on The Voice Australia in 2012 and 2013.

BWW: Who were your influences growing up?

Seal: Has to be Prince and Stevie Wonder. Two people that really inspired me to become a musician.

BWW: You recently got to work with Trevor Horn on your album 7. What was that like?

Seal: Trevor is a dear friend, and like family to me. I admire and respect him so much. It's been a relationship I'm so lucky to have had for so many years. Many people think this album was autobiographical, but it plays off many other people's experiences and emotions. Both Trevor and I had experienced losses of different kinds during the making of 7, which reflected in the album.

BWW: A lot of musicians nowadays are dipping their feet into acting. Is that something you'd consider?

Seal: Never say never, but at the moment no.

BWW: You've released 9 albums so far. Are you working on your 10th?

Seal: Working on new music, but we'll see what happens.

BWW: What was the biggest crowd you've performed for and were you nervous?

Seal: I rarely get nervous nowadays. Being on stage and performing for my fans is one of the best parts of my job.

BWW: What's on the horizon for you?

Seal: Working on a few different things at the moment, so we'll just have to wait and see.
