Aurora Swing Nights begins another season of crowd-pleasing concerts on Saturday, September 14 at 8:00 PM. The opening concert will offer patrons something completely different, as Aurora takes them on a musical journey to the exotic Andes mountains of Peru with the band Apu Inka.

Founder, Artistic Director and native Peruvian John Zorilla is a professor of arts and recording artist who grew up filled with the legends and Andean traditions as told by the elders. His studies and teachings caused him to have a great affection and respect for ancestral art, music and dance. After moving to Atlanta, he founded Apu Inka in 2008, with the intention of using the universal language of musical expression to unite people. Performing Latin-American folk music created by playing musical instruments of the Andes like the quena, zampoña (pan flute), charango and indigenous percussion, this music will stir your soul and sweep your spirit to Machu Picchu.
