800 Pound Gorilla Records announces today's release of 5:5:1 - A Comedy Experience, the debut album from MTV's Guy Code star and The Brilliant Idiots podcast co-host Andrew Schulz.
"It's the greatest comedy city in the world, New York City," Schulz explains at 5:5:1's onset. "It's normal for us to perform at five different clubs and do five different sets, all in one night. And that's exactly what I'm about to show you right now: a true New York City comedy experience." Capturing Schulz's performances at Comic Strip Live, Stand Up NY, the Comedy Cellar, NY Comedy Club, and the Village Underground, 5:5:1 addresses the great outdoors, relationships, female roommates, atheism, gay sex, and gender equality. Named SiriusXM's June 8 Raw Dog Album of the Week, 5:5:1 debuts at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Chart. "Our whole team loves this album," says 800 Pound Gorilla co-founder Damion Greiman. "Andrew jumps head first into controversial topics that most comedians shy away from, and gets the entire crowd behind him laughing all the way. This record is going to make a lot of noise and people are going to be talking about it for a while."This September Schulz headlines theaters across London, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. All tour dates and tickets are available at www.TheAndrewSchulz.com.
