AMERICAN IDOL's original superstar, Kelly Clarkson, has announced she's settling down with boyfriend BranDon Blackstock.

The season one winner told her fans via Twitter: "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)"

Clarkson and Blackstock, who is Reba McEntire's stepson, have been friends for years, but reconnected last February at the Super Bowl, where Clarkson performed the national anthem.

She later Tweeted details about her engagement right: "It's a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it and Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can't wait to make Brandon's ring with Johnathon as well."

Tonight, Clarkson can be seen on VH1 DIVAS, performing alongside Ciara, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks to pay homage to the greatest divas of dance music with performances featuring current and classic dance hits. In the spirit of celebration and appreciation VH1 Divas will include a tribute to two divas we lost this past year, whose voices always lead us straight to the dance floor, Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Adam Labmert will be hosting the event.

Since bursting onto the music scene 10 years ago, Clarkson has released five studio albums ("Thankful," "Breakaway," "My December," "All I Ever Wanted" and "Stronger"), sold over 20 million albums worldwide, 10 million albums in the US and has had 10 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. She is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Clarkson's most recent effort "Stronger" debuted at #2 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Digital Albums Chart. The album is certified Platinum by the R.I.A.A. and produced the smash singles, "Mr. Know It All" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" which marks Clarkson's ninth and 10th Top 10 hit. "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" was #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart for two consecutive weeks (three weeks total) marking her third #1 on the Hot 100 chart after 2002's "A Moment Like This" and 2009's "My Life Would Suck Without You." Clarkson was recently a mentor on ABC's "Duets" as well as a guest mentor for Team Blake on "The Voice."

Clarkson was recently nominated for a 2012 CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. She recently released "Greatest Hits - Chapter 1" on November 19, which features three new tracks as well as a compilation of some of her greatest hits to date. In addition, Clarkson was recently nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.
