In celebration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. is offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful season in the Nation's Capital with cherry-themed overnight packages, cuisine, cocktails and amenities.

The Hotel's Custom Signature Scent: Sakura
Custom made for The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.; the hotel's signature scent Sakura, meaning cherry blossom in Japanese, is inspired by the ambiance of the hotel and the historic cherry blossoms of Washington, D.C. Built on fresh notes of bergamot and black currant, Sakura's lush floral notes of cherry blossom, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley are complemented with soft vanilla and white musk. The scent can be found throughout the hotel in the form of candles, oil diffusers, and room sprays and is available for purchase upon request.

Cherry Desserts in The Lobby Lounge
Guests can enjoy Executive Pastry Chef Arnaud Chavigny's decadent Cherry Jubilee dessert in the Lobby Lounge. The indulgent dessert features brandy-black cherry coulis, vanilla whipped cream, brownie bites, amarena cherries and is topped with homemade cherry beer sorbet and a chocolate cherry blossom branch for garnish.

Sakura Tea in The Lobby Lounge
The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. brings guests a unique and luxurious tea experience in the elegant setting of the hotel's Lobby Lounge. In honor of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the hotel's barista has selected the finest teas to create a Sakura Tea for guests to enjoy this spring. The custom tea blend is built on fresh notes of bergamot and black currant, lush floral notes of cherry blossom, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley and complemented by soft vanilla and white musk.

Westend Bistro
Westend Bistro will offer a "cherry inspired" menu created by the restaurant's award-winning culinary team. The three-course $70 per person dinner includes: Cherry Bellini Bubble Tea; Hamachi Crudo with Kirsch-lemon Grass Foam, Sakura Tea Granite and Pan Roasted Crispy Skin Duck Breast with Hand-made Cherry Bow Tie Pasta and Heering Cherry Liqueur Sauce; A Roll of Vanilla Bavaroise with Candied Amarena Cherry, Sake Gelé, and Macha Green Tea Ice Cream.

The restaurant's seasoned bar team has also crafted a "Sakura" cocktail in honor of the occasion. The cocktail is a twist on the D.C. original cocktail, The Rickey, which was created in the 1880's for D.C. lobbyist Colonel Joe Rickey at Shoomaker's Bar. Westend Bistro's refreshing twist on this classic cocktail features a house-made Sakura tea infused with G'Vine Gin, fresh lime juice, club soda and Sakura simple syrup.
