Sartori' brings home medals from 2016 American Cheese Society Competition

Sartori accepted four awards at this year's American Cheese Society (ACS) Competition, an annual event showcasing the nation's best cheesemakers. Limited Edition Pastorale Blend won 1 st Place in the "American Made/International Style" category for mixed-milk cheese, with judges finding the blend of cow's and sheep's milk to perfectly complement the smoky, paprika-dusted exterior. Other Sartori winners included Chipotle BellaVitano, MontAmor and Classic Asiago.

The 33rd Annual ACS Competition included 1,843 entries from 260 cheesemakers. "Each year, it seems like there is more and more top-notch cheese at ACS," said Jim Sartori, CEO and owner of Sartori. "Competing at such a high level adds extra excitement to every award and truly showcases the talents of our Team Members and Family Farms."

The ACS accolades are additions to a growing list of awards for Limited Edition Pastorale Blend, Chipotle BellaVitano, MontAmor and Classic Asiago. Pam Hodgson, one of Sartori's Master Cheesemakers, was particularly elated by MontAmor's success. "There's nothing else quite like MontAmor," said Hodgson.
