One Year of Free Pizza* Up for Grabs During 'One Day for United Way' at Pies & Pints

On Monday, September 18 th, Pies & Pints will host "One Day for United Way" at each of their 13 U.S. locations from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit United Way of Southern West Virginia serving Fayette County, where the original Pies & Pints is located.

15% of food and non-alcoholic beverage sales will be donated, plus, each Pies & Pints location will be selling raffle tickets to win Free Pizza for a Year* from that location. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, and 100% of raffle ticket sales will also benefit United Way of Southern West Virginia. Free Pizza for a Year* winners will receive one free 16" pizza each week for one year.

Kimberly Shingledecker, co-founder and owner of the original Pies & Pints Pizzeria in Fayetteville, WV, has committed to raising $40,000 to benefit United Way of Southern West Virginia.

"It has been a challenging year for Fayette Country, but we are proud of where we started, and grateful for the opportunity to give back to a region that has given us so much," said Shingledecker. "This event is a time for us to serve up some pizza and some fun, while also serving others."

United Way of Southern West Virginia is a non-profit organization that supports 44 non-profit agency programs in seven counties. As cuts to the coal mining industry continue, this United Way has also been integral in helping to rebuild Southern West Virginia following the historical "1,000 Year Flood", which caused over $3 million dollars in damage and left several hundred people homeless in June of last year.
