Kalamazoo Culinary Staple to Undergo Renovation; New Concept to Launch Early 2016

For the past 11 years, Zazios Restaurant and Bar has been serving enticing, authentic Italian food to downtown Kalamazoo. Beginning February of 2016 however, Zazios' pride will extend far beyond the borders of Italy, and instead bring a new perspective to the Kalamazoo culinary scene. With a fresh new interior design and re-energized point of view on the dining experience as a whole, Zazios is anxious to expand the horizons of downtown Kalamazoo's loyal customers.

Owned and operated by Greenleaf Hospitality Group, Zazios will close its doors on January 1st, 2016, to undergo its first renovation since the restaurant's grand opening in 2004. Partnering with TowerPinkster and Hazelhoff builders to transform the space, the redesign is set to include a larger private dining space, a new slant on the signature Chef's Table experience, and a new color palette that reflects Chef Joe Pearson's inspiration: embracing unique flavor profiles that tempt the taste buds in ways unlike ever before.

When asked what to expect, Michael Oswald, VP of Food, Beverage, and Entertainment at Greenleaf Hospitality Group replied "You can expect the same high level of standards you have come to expect from Chef Joe Pearson, our staff, and our menus, infused with some unexpected new touches we know you will love." With the new year, comes a new Zazios; a reopening that is sure to deliver a new angle to the culture of downtown Kalamazoo dining.
