The New York City Premiere of Tom Gold Dance Founder and Director Tom Gold's Apparatus Hominus will take place during the inaugural fall season of Tom Gold Dance, Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Florence Gould Hall at French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF).

Scheduled to perform are dancers Barton Cowperthwaite, Tiffany Mori, Shoshana Rosenfield, Mary Elizabeth Sell, James Shee, and Stephanie Williams, along with violinist Katherine Liccardo and pianist Joseph Liccardo. In addition to an expanded number of dancers (from four to six) from the original staging and live musical accompaniment, the New York City Premiere of Apparatus Hominus will feature several new sections.

Gold's second evening-length ballet after his Poetic Episodes (2016) premiered July 27, 2018 at TurnPark Art Space, a cultural, recreational, and exhibition center on the site of a former lime quarry in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Set to selections from Nico Muhly's Drones series and his soundtrack to the 2013 film Kill Your Darlings, Apparatus Hominus, which was performed outdoors in a stone amphitheater, references many of the objects of metal and other site-specific sculptures found across TurnPark's 16 acres.

The inaugural fall season continues the 10th anniversary of Tom Gold Dance.
