CSz Philadelphia, producer of ComedySportz the city's longest running comedy show, is pleased to present: "ComedySportz: Puppets vs. People" on Saturday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The matches will take place at the company's home base, The Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street and will run at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets cost $17 with $14 tickets for students, seniors, and military. Tickets and more information are available online at www.comedysportzphilly.com and by email at info@comedysportzphilly.com.

This special double header of ComedySportz will pit people against puppets, flesh against fluff, skin against foam and will utilize the skill sets of Players and puppeteers Dave Jadico and Joe Sabatino.

"Joe Sabatino is amazing improviser and an excellent puppeteer, just ask the producers at The Jim Henson Company and Sprout where he works. He is also an amazing puppet builder," says CSz Philadelphia Executive Director Don Montrey. "In fact, we're going to use his creations in the matches. And Dave Jadico is not only a very funny Player, but also the only Philadelphia actor to win a Barrymore Award for his puppetry skills in The Fantasticks.'"

The unique format also allows for the debut of some new games and the return of some seldom seen treasures including Replay at Bernies, where the People Team will be forced to "puppet" their dead teammates. Meanwhile the Puppet Team will be tasked with playing the classic ComedySportz game 5 Thingz, challenging the puppets to communicate with each other using gibberish and mime.

"Once the puppets make their entrance it's going to be non-stop craziness. We have been practicing with them for a few weeks and the laughter and play has been incredible," added Montrey. "There is so much delight in watching the Players interact with the puppets and watching the puppets play ComedySportz games. These are going to be a matches for everyone to enjoy!"
