A compelling and evocative tale of four characters who surprisingly managed to changed their perspective and ideals about life and the world comes to life in Mac the Dog by William M. Connolly. It is a daring account of how a family survives the trials in life and witnesses the gradual changes that happen to the world they once lived in.

This book is a historical and futuristic novel. It follows Andy Callahan from his birth in 1944 to his death in 2024. It also follows the journey of Madeline Jones, from her childhood in 1990 to her mid-30. It's a simple and provocative story of a once great, proud and heroic nation that was turned upside down by domestic enemies. It also tracks that nation's descent into greed, corruption, violence, drugs, profligate profiteering and imperialism. It documents the bravery of the few, the herd mentality of too many, and the nation's fall from grace.

Packed with riveting scenarios and true-to-life memories, Mac the Dog offers a dramatic and stirring plot that will touch readers' hearts. It is a book that bravely walks readers down memory lane and at the same time offers a shocking view of what lies ahead in the future. Connolly has boldly showed his highly-imaginative ideas and let out his pure and piercing emotions in writing this anthology that will surely make readers realize the importance of life, family and kinship.
