Annette Martens, author of Demon-a fast-paced tale of horror, end times, conspiracy and relationship and a look into the spiritual world-publishes a new book that is in stark contrast to her first work. Spirit, Soul and Body is a collection of inspiring poems for readers' well-being that spiritually challenge, touch their inner being, and enable them to laugh at the world they live in.

Martens' literary pieces in Spirit, Soul and Body speak of exactly those three things in separate sections. Spirit is the most important section as that is what people basically are. Soul explores feelings, beauty and things that touch people internally. Body is life poetry outlining problems people face in their mortals shells whether sad, reflective or funny.

Martens discloses her long, arduous yet fruitful journey of publishing her poetry:

"I've written poetry since I was six, had 7 years broadcasting on Trans World Radio and was asked so often for a book that although it took me 20 years to get to doing it, I finally decided it was time. During those 20 years I was married, and my husband did not like me travelling to recite my poetry, so I had to give it up. I did not cease to write and have written over two thousand poems. Sadly, someone burned 1,600 of them but I thought it was about time I had a permanent record of poems that have touched many people, have let them know they were not alone in their pain and poetry that would spur Christians on to greater things."

Martens understands that society at large has lost the Spiritual beauty, has turmoil in its soul and majors on the body. Her poems will now help people to widen their horizons. She believes that it is hard to get people to listen to others' problems, and a poem is not threatening so able to speak without offense, no matter how harsh the subject matter.

Easy to understand and to empathize with, the poems in Spirit, Soul and Body offer a refreshing respite for people interested in their integral well-being. Martens has creatively crafted a book that allows readers to express their feelings and allow their lives to be changed.
