Nashville-based author Tom Templeman has released his first, self-published book entitled My Best Little Buddy, and is donating twenty percent of the profits to Nashville Cat Rescue.

Book Synopsis: My Best Little Buddy is a heartwarming story of 17 years about love and friendship with a little grey Tabby cat and shared by first-time author Tom Templeman.

"We found a kitten abandoned in a park 17 years ago and he quickly became my best little buddy, my best pal, my protector, comic relief and comforter. 'Tiger' was full of goofy personality; he was everything I could ever ask for in a pet. To many of my friends and family, including me, Tiger often appeared to be more of a little person disguised in grey striped pajamas rather than a cat, who viewed life like a perennial five-year old! This book is written from the heart, as I share special stories of Tiger over the years that brought laughter, love, tears, joy, comfort and many, many great memories. The tale is a heartwarming story of 17 years of love and friendship with a little grey Tabby cat named 'Tiger,' who we found as a kitten abandoned in a park and quickly became my best little buddy."

The personal recap of the feline friendship and lifetime experience will captivate pet lovers alike across the globe.

Tom explains the reason for the desire to help Nashville Cat Rescue.

"Tiger and his sister Sundae were starving little kittens abandoned in a park when we found them. I guess you could say we rescued them, though sometimes I wonder who rescued who. To me, Tiger's story demonstrates how bringing home a rescue pet can bring a lifetime of love and laughter to your heart. Nashville Cat Rescue is a small, underfunded nonprofit animal rescue. Each time I look at a picture of one of their rescued cats, I can see a little bit of Tiger in their eyes. I feel that if I can help their efforts through sharing the wonderful story of my life with Tiger, we can help many other rescues get forever homes."

Templeman will be signing books all day at the Nashville Cat Rescue booth at the following location:

Saturday, October 12, 2013
Nashville Oktoberfest
7th Avenue & Monroe Street
In Nashville's Historic Germantown
Nashville, TN 37208

The book will also be featured in the Combined Book Exhibit at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany from October 9- October 13.

The paperback edition is priced at $14.95 and e-book is available via Barnes & Noble and Amazon Kindle (priced at $9.99). Twenty percent of profits from all book sales will go to benefit Nashville Cat Rescue.
