Questions are powerful. They demand answers to resolve doubts and confusions. However, some answers only bring more questions, especially when it comes to religion. The Rev. Dan Mitchell addresses such questions meant to challenge, if not change, readers in his newest publication, titled "Tough Love for Christians." An eye-opener, it clarifies what is sacred and what is worldly. It reveals how Jesus really lived his life as it refutes hand-me-down knowledge and beliefs concerning the veracity and inviolability of the Bible.

Mitchell himself held questions that led him to perplexing and odd answers. Soon, the answers he obtained only bothered him more to a point that he began to question what is really meant by the word "faith." According to the author, a person can either blindly accept what is handed down over the centuries or begin an inquiry to ascertain what is real from what is bogus. In this book, he bombards readers with questions in the hopes that his readers will question their own sacred faith.

How accurate are the gospels? Who and where was Jesus between the ages 12 and 29 years old? Did Jesus have children? There are rumors, facts and theories that need to be pulled together in order to address these questions so that people may come to fully understand and know Jesus of Nazareth. In this book, this is what exactly Mitchell does: he broadens the picture of Jesus and how hallowed he is. From the time of the birth of Jesus to the end of his life, he examines the possibility that Jesus lived a whole, blessed life, looking at a broader scope of who he really is, along with the other figures and characters in the Bible.

Mitchell has written an illuminating narrative that challenges readers to take all things with a grain of salt. "Tough Love for Christians" is a faith-impelled volume imparting wisdom and understanding that will help readers as they journey through spiritual awakening.
