Angela E. Kamrath's new book, The Miracle of America: The Influence of the Bible on the Founding History and Principles of the United States of America for a People of Every Belief ($34.99, paperback, 9781628711400; $44.99, hardcover, 9781628711417) is a detailed, thought-provoking study of how the Bible influenced the United States' founding principles.

Kamrath ventures into previously unexplored subject matter, all the while supplying her audience with historical fact. Additionally, Kamrath brings to light her statement that, "America is a country founded on ideas, yet studies show that Americans today are largely ignorant about the key ideas that have shaped our nation." This book calls for an awakening, and it also delves into how Judeo-Christian thought remains an enduring source of strength in the ongoing struggle for the soul of America.

"My hope is that Miracle of America helps people to understand and to articulate America's founding ethic and its relation to the Bible and Judeo-Christianity," Kamrath says. "This knowledge is essential in perpetuating the American idea among future generations. I hope the book increases readers' patriotism and appreciation for America as well as their concern and action for our nation. In addition, I hope that the book opens up and sheds light for the reader on the greatest book in history."
