SOUTHBURY, Conn. - In the fantastic manner of the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain and Melville comes "The Book of Morgan" (published by Xlibris). This new book by acclaimed author Tony Morgan features a collection of 20 original short stories, four literary essays and a number of personal anecdotes.

"The Book of Morgan" is dazzling in its range of themes, some of the topics covered include anthropology, paleontology, literature, ballistics and space travel. Iconic people from history like Albert Einstein and organized crime figure Meyer Lansky also figure as characters in some of the short stories.

Aside from fiction stories, "The Book of Morgan" also features essays on a number of controversial literary topics. One such dissertation, the first of its kind, offers a comparison between Proust and "The Great Gatsby." Morgan also shares true stories from his own life including a run-in with the Secret Service following the September 11 attacks.

Written in the author's signature style, "The Book of Morgan" is as enjoyable as it is thought-provoking.
