Author, CEO and retired Navy Commander Thomas E. Berghage offers readers a guide to "Stock Analysis in the Twenty-First Century and Beyond" (published by Xlibris). His book is an extension of his international lecture series, which was part of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute's speaker retainer program. It is intended to reach a broader audience in the financial community, to transfer technology from military applications to the financial industry.

Berghage's book reviews the current capability of stock analysts to discriminate between good and poor performing stocks. It analyzes the stock selection problem and introduces the need for new technologies to enhance investor portfolio returns. It also introduces readers to Artificial Intelligent technology and its potential in this field. Berghage argues that current stock analysis is failing to enhance investor performance and needs to be augmented with some new intelligent computer technology.

"Stock Analysis in the Twenty-First Century and Beyond" covers the development of stock analysis from the 1930s to the present and into the future. It is intended for financial analysts, managers in the financial industry and individual investors who wish to keep abreast with the changes in the field.
