Sigari Luckwell's new poetry book, "The Man Who Takes Care of My Soul: A Second Collection of Poetry" (published by Balboa Press AU), encourages readers to view life from many perspectives; describing the "extraordinariness" of ordinary life.

The book contains 32 poems Luckwell wrote over the past two years. The poems' subjects include a poet in Dublin and a macaw that escaped from a local fish and chip shop. With her poems, Luckwell offers a glimpse into a wide range of emotions. She aims to move readers to weep with the asylum seeker, chortle with an aging man enjoying his ice cream and fume at the brainwashing of beautiful young men groomed to exact terror.

Luckwell hopes that, for readers, their takeaway from her poetry will be, "A smile in the heart, a sting in the mind, a memorable encounter."

An excerpt from the poem "Page 5 Will Do" in "The Man Who Takes Care of My Soul":
Do you realise how much power you have? / I am sure you do. / I plead with you to use it wisely. / Instead of fraud and futile violence, / ring the bell for a moment's silence. / And as for the murder, page 5 will do.
