Author Shirley Johnson combines extensive research together with her years of experience as a minister to evaluate the theological birthing of religious doctrine and the Holy Spirit's "workings" as they relate to modern Christian concepts and their Hebraic roots in her new book, "Birthing to the Workings: Rethinking Hebraic Teaching in Relation to the Godhead, Trinity, and Holy Spirit" (published by iUniverse).

"Many different protestant denominations make up Christianity," Johnson explains. "The departure from our Hebraic roots caused misunderstandings that directly affected church doctrine allowing the separation among believers."

"Birthing to the Workings" analyzes the evolution of Christianity from its Hebraic beginnings and navigates the theological diversions that Christianity has taken which influence its modern practices. Johnson breaks down the concept of the Godhead, from the Hebraic belief of a "whole" God to the later adapted individual father, son and Holy Spirit persons. Johnson's expert research renders these and other transformations of Christianity over the centuries in a thought-provoking, comprehensible manner.

An excerpt from "Birthing to the Workings":

"The Pentecostal experience in the book of Acts does more than just confirms that every believer can and does have the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Acts also tells the story of a birthing in the early church, but the birthing process did not start in the book of Acts as it is popularly taught.'"
