Children often have apprehensions in visiting a dental clinic. They fear what lies ahead of them. From author Peter Munk, a practicing dentist, comes a captivating story about a young puppy on his first visit to the dentist with his new publication, "Rover and the Happy Dentist." This colorful and vibrant picture book will prepare young boys and girls to a dental visit in the proper way.

This is a story about a young puppy that goes to the dentist to have a filling done on his tooth. His family goes with him. He has a wonderful experience that is positive and educational. The book is intended to not only entertain children as any story would, but also to prepare a young child for a real life dental visit in the proper way. Too often, a child receives fearful comments from a family member and is filled with anxiety before the dental experience begins. By preparing the child with proper education and positivity, the fears can be allayed.

The dental experience can be pleasant and productive, rather than a nightmare. With its colorful and cute illustrations, this vibrant picture book will both entertain children and help reduce their anxiety when having their visit to the dentist. Rover will show them that there is nothing to be scared about during dental checkups. In fact, they can even have a pleasant and comfortable experience.

"Rover and the Happy Dentist" will also instruct children and adults in diet and oral home care. It is the author's hope that a book like this, written by an actual dentist, can improve oral health wherever it is read.
