Author Rosalie Coffelt decided to put to paper some of the stories she tells her great-grandchildren and pass on some of the important values she believes in like faith, family, love and friendship. "The Mountain Adventures of Ricky, JJ, and Willie" (published by Xlibris) is intended to demonstrate these values to children in an entertaining and interesting way.

This book follows the adventures of several animal friends that demonstrate the values of friendship, faith, family and love as they help each other through various adventures and hardships they meet in their mountain home. From finding a lost child to freeing friends from captivity, they demonstrate how friendship, trust and love can overcome difficulties in everyday life and how willingness to help others is a trait that can be related to human lives.

"My book speaks of love and prayer," Coffelt points out. "It is about sharing and learning about how we can get along with life by working all things out together. Aside from this, even if you are different, it does not mean you cannot respect others."

Through the publication of "The Mountain Adventures of Ricky, JJ, and Willie," Coffelt hopes readers will realize that everyone who lives in this small world should learn to accept each other and work to solve their problems together.
