Ronnie Sarkin Debut Novel, KISMET

The year is 1238 in Ireland, and 4-year-old Fey becomes orphaned after her mother is burnt at the stake, accused of being a pagan priestess. Fey is adopted by the Reddan family and at a young age, falls in love with the family's son Adam.

Years later, with the arrival of Fey's estranged cousin, their lives quickly complicate. Fey and Adam soon realize her life could be headed in the same direction as her mother's, threatened with the same tragic end. What Fey does not know is that this won't be the only time they fall in love.

In a subsequent lifetime set in the 1700s Ireland, now as Kevan and Áine, the two face similar situations as their love is threatened by the Irish rebellion against the English occupation. "Kismet" is a gripping start to a trilogy that weaves mystical concepts into a thrilling plot steeped in Irish history and folklore.

South African debut author Ronnie Sarkin's atypical historical romantic novel, "Kismet," (published by Trafford Publishing), has already been awarded RECOMMENDED status by the independent professional organization, US Review of Books. This promising first novel is a page-turner that aims to keep readers on the edge of their seat as they follow Fey and Adam from one lifetime to the next.
