The effects of transatlantic slave trade earn less emphasis. The unfortunate fact is that slaves of injustice such as brutal punishments still feel the suffering until today. Revd A.A. Harriott brings an eye-opener literature, with actual victims of slave trade as main characters in his book "TELL THE TRUTH AS IT IS" (published by AuthorHouse UK).

After obtaining more knowledge of slavery, the author felt strongly that people should have full awareness of the extent of damage that slavery has bludgeoned in many communities. Like most people, Revd A.A. Harriott knew less about slavery, but he realized that one of the homes which he was brought up is a slavery camp - young children chained to their parents while working in plantations.

'TELL THE TRUTH AS IT IS" also highlights the issue of religion and spirituality, as the book opens up the awareness on family values and Christ. The book also seeks to bring clarity - that God is not a killer and has never sent anyone to fight a war or start a war of any kind.

About the Author

Revd A.A. Harriott was born in Jamaica. He is the fourth child of 11. He was interested in music and wanted to play the organ but was deprived by his father. He prayed hard and three nights after, he had a vision of someone teaching him how to play the organ. When he woke up, he knew he would become an organist, - reading the notes while playing the instrument. Anything he needed and prayed for, he always received.

When he was in school, he had a powerful memory which made him an outstanding student in reading, math, recitation and composition. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1955 and learned a few skills by simply observing others. One of his outstanding characteristics is his Christ-like approach to everyone. Since 1957, he has served as master of ceremonies during wedding rites, christenings and funerals. He always looks after the interests and well-being of other people.
