Peace Center Offers The Color Purple Lending Library; Hosts Book Discussion

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival The Color Purple comes to the Peace Center March 13-18. The Upstate can become more familiar with the story through a book lending program where the public may borrow the 1982 Alice Walker novel the show is based on for free.

Beginning now, 50 books are available to borrow from the Peace Center box office, which is open Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Books may be borrowed for up to two weeks at a time, with a limit of one per household.

A free book discussion will be moderated by Peace Center Artist-in-Residence Glenis Redmond on Sunday, March 18, at 4 p.m. in the Huguenot Mill, located next to the Peace Center at 101 W. Broad St. in Greenville. Registration is required by visiting www.peacecenter.org/TCPBook.
