According to Rev. Daniel O'Neil, God's training of believers is much like an eagle training its young.

In his new book "Heaven's Eagle," O'Neil explores how the Holy Spirit mirrors an eagle in training using the beloved passages of Psalm 91 as a foundation.

"The Bible says the Holy Spirit wants intimacy with us," O'Neil said. "The Holy Spirit wants to train us to do the things of the Holy Spirit."

O'Neil, a pastor dedicated to bringing the presence of the Holy Spirit to his congregation, said he received the idea of the eagle metaphor while praying for a sermon. The parallels have since helped believers more fully understand the ways of the Holy Spirit.

His book uses the time of Moses as a setting and portrays how the eagle described in Psalm 91 corresponds with imagery of the Passover. Insights from these passages reveal how God provides divine vision, protection and authority to overcome Satan.

Including personal testimonies and supernatural experiences, "Heaven's Eagle" shows how believers can grow in God's active presence, comfort and shelter.
