P.A. Condon always had a desire to make some sense out of life. "Towards the Light" (published by Trafford Publishing) is his fulfillment of this dream.

The book is no mere narrative, and it is not simply about the author. It is an eye-witness account of the way things were in 1930s London, in wartime Kent and Snowdonia, and in the Klondike goldfields and construction camps of British Columbia. It is a tale of perseverance in the face of repeated disappointment, bereavement and post traumatic stress disorder. And it is an affirmation of the supreme virtue of love.

Excerpt from "Towards the Light":

Getting My First Library Card
"February 13, 1934, came at last. School seemed an eternity and I nearly choked myself at teatime - but then I was off, running through gloomy backstreets to the nearest branch of the library...I entered it bubbling with anticipation. Crammed into one small room, the library smelt of books, and Ali Baba in his cave couldn't have been more dazzled than I at the sight of hundreds of them...The world of books lay all before me, which to choose for my delight, with chance and personal preference my guides."
