Laura Crump and Glenda Finlay mark their debut in the dazzling world of children's literature with the release of "Secrets at the Lighthouse" (published by Xlibris). This new book is an action-packed children's novel that follows three young children in an adventure that will change their lives forever.

Set in New Zealand in the 1860s, "Secrets at the Lighthouse" introduces two young brothers named Stu and Fergie, who are adjusting to a new life of living in a lighthouse. Their life is further complicated by the unexpected discovery of an abandoned baby albatross. With the help of their newfound friend, Miriama, a young Maori girl, the boys raise the albatross in secret.

With its many secrets, shipwrecks and treasure, "Secrets at the Lighthouse" will keep readers riveted from beginning until the stunning conclusion. Crump and Finlay wrote this book to encourage children to read and reap the rewards of reading.

"We have four children and have worked with children throughout our careers, creating our own school preparation programme which involved writing stories and associated activities," the authors say. "We combined our love of history with the need for action-packed children's books especially suited to the reluctant reader."
