Author Soraya Vatandoust believes that Iran's food, with its long history, is one of the greatest cuisines, yet, unfortunately, the least known in the world. Her book, "Authentic Iran," (published by Xlibris), seeks to familiarize readers with her native country's food and culture by presenting more than 100 of Iran's most delightful recipes, unique cooking techniques and mix of ingredients.

Cooking and experimenting with various cuisines have been the lifelong passion of Vatandoust. As it is, she is only too glad to use her knowledge in cooking to let people explore the exotic, ancient and modern Middle Eastern cuisine, all the while, familiarizing readers with Iran's culture. By presenting a wide array of dishes and their respective recipes, she is able to pass on her passion and some cultural and historical information about her native land too.

Persia was once a world super power and as such, the legacy it left to its people is worthy of being shared and spread. The delights and the varied tastes of Persian cooking will bring pleasure to readers who also want to explore and sample cuisines of other cultures. Through her cookbook, the author is able to show and aptly share what is "Authentic Iran."
